Welcome everyone to our Wedding blog! Apparently all the kids on the block now blog about wedding updates, so we decided to join in too. Here's a little survey to let you catch up on the who/what/when/where of us if you are a bit out of the loop. :)
What is your name?: Stephanie Miller
Your fiancé's?: Thomas Geare
Where/How did you meet? We were studying the same major. I realized one day that I needed a book that I had not bought for class so I decided to ask Thomas, a boy in my class I didn't really know. He said he would give me the book under one condition; that we have coffee together. When we met, we immediately connected with the same kind of humor and remained good friends for that semester.
When did you start dating?January 7th, 2009, after a semester of being friends.
Where was your first kiss? The same day, right before we decided to date.
Who's friends did you first hang out with? We have at least 50 mutual friends simply from being in the same major, so hanging out with friends was never an issue with us.
What was the first holiday you spent together? Valentine's Day 2009. Thomas wrote and sang me a song with his guitar at Tortilla Flat.
Do you remember the first time you said I love you to each other? According to my journal, it happened on January 15th, 2009. It seems pretty soon, but we had always been very close as friends before and had bonded a lot.
Who said it to who? Thomas said, "Stephanie, I have something to tell you. You may think this is strange, but I love you." He was referring to the strange part, because it seemed fast, but in truth, it couldn't have been any more perfect.
What do their parents think about you? They love me. :)
What do your parents think about them? They love him.
When did you start talking about spending the rest of your lives together? I don't really recall. Probably around a year after dating.
When did he pop the question? July 24th, 2010.
How & where did he do it? Arizona Snowbowl, Flagstaff. He posted up signs with poems on them on skilift chairs coming down as we went up, then proposed at the top of the hill. It was romantically creative!
What do you think of your ring? I love my ring! It's so beautiful, unique, and perfectly fits my personality!
Have you set a wedding date yet? May 21, 2011, 5PM, at Boyce Thompson Arboretum
Where will the reception be? Smith Interpretive Center

How long will you have dated when you are married? 2 1/2 years
How long until your wedding day?
What are the colors of your wedding? Royal blue and champagne gold
What will your first dance together be? It's a secret!
Are you taking a honeymoon? Yes, 8 days in Florida and the Grand Bahama Island!
Where will you live after you get married? We will continue to live in the house we are renting now until the lease is up. Then we will buy a nice home.
Do you plan on having kids after the wedding? Eventually but not for a few years at least.
How many, if any? Two.
Is this what you really want for the rest of your life? Absolutely. I've never been more sure. We have superb communication, connect on many levels, support each other, trust one another, and love equally in the sunniest or stormiest of weather.
