In case you missed it...

It is here! Our official wedding invite, full screen in High Definition!!

Tom and I love being different; we custom-made our rings and are spicing up typical wedding traditions with our own. Naturally, we couldn't have just any old boring paper invite as well, and thus this video was born! It took days of discussing important details, some bickering, planning, and then we just threw everything out the window and improvised on our original "Chariots of Fire" idea.

Enjoy.

Wedding Registry Time!

Hi folks! Hope you're doing well! We wanted to let you in on some updates and changes:

Change #1: The reception area will still be in Boyce Thompson Arboretum but has been changed to the Smith Interpretive Center, and we will dance inside. It is a lovely location, complete with a cute little fountain, two green houses connecting to the dance floor, a parking lot within walking distance, and a dressing room nearby if you need to change into dancewear. You'll get more information in the wedding invite of course, but here's a quick preview!

Updates:

WEDDING REGISTRY
We have chosen Target to be our official Wedding Registry location.

However, if you feel limited and would like to extend your creative wings, we would love that as well and welcome all creative home-made projects. Giftcards to places like World Marketplace and unique artsy places work just as well.

WEDDING RINGS

Thomas' ring is finally finished, and we are anxiously awaiting its arrival to our house. I thought I'd share some pictures with you on how the Greenlake Jewelry custom-ring process works.

1.) Meet with an artist and discuss styles/likes & design ring pattern.

2.) Artist draws out design on paper. For Tom's ring, we went with making a 3-piece puzzle ring that can be taken apart and put back together. He loves puzzles and problem-solving, and we wanted each of our rings to reflect our own individual styles.

We chose three diamonds to go in the center to echo the 3 flowers on each side of my ring.

3.) In the next step you get a mock-ring wax molding to check how it looks and make any changes.

Because his was a puzzle ring, the wax outer rings had to be tested with the metal inner ring to check if everything fits. It does!! :)

4.) The ring is put together and polished up shiny, ready to be textured:

5.) The final product!! Yess!
