Mission Wedding: SUCCESS

I can't believe it's already over! It feels surreal. The ceremony, wedding reception, and everything was so wonderful!! We got so much positive feedback too and really appreciated that everyone enjoyed themselves! For anyone who is curious, here is a list of our vendors and amazing people who each provided a puzzle piece to the big picture.

Ceremony & Reception Site- Boyce Thompson Arboretum

We went here for our first year anniversary and absolutely fell in love with the place. It has all kind of desert botanical flowers, trees, and walking paths throughout to enjoy the gorgeous scenery.

Officiant- Sally Niles, MT-BC.

Sally is Thomas' boss, a previous teacher at ASU, and is also a good friend. She's a music therapist, wedding officiant, and doula. She does it all!

Caterer: Green

The food here is absolutely amazing, and we love it! Everyone else did too, despite being omnivores. My mom even said, "I think I'm going to be vegetarian from now on!" Best Wedding gift ever, mom! ^_^

Wedding Cake: Chocofin

Ugh. This cake was just SO good. Dark chocolate too, our favorite!! Wish I had pictures of it, but we ate it! Mwuaha!

Florist: Lighthouse Flowers

Run by a brother and sister, this little family business is extremely reasonable with prices as well as indecisive brides and grooms, haha!

Bride’s Gown: Kaira's Bridal

I fell in love with this dress almost instantly. It wasn't the fanciest I tried on, but it was perfect for me. I especially liked how light, simple, and beautiful it was.

Bridesmaids’ Gowns: http://www.lightinthebox.com

These were cheaper than your average bridesmaid dress but very elegant nonetheless. However, it takes a few weeks to actually get the dresses so that's the only downfall.

Hair & Make-up: Total Bliss Salon

Hair- Haley

Haley was so amazing. My hair-stylist cancelled on me last minute, and she was there to save the day. I even liked the way she did my hair more so than the previous stylist, so I guess it was just meant to be! :)

Make-up: Ashley

Ashley was great. I've never worn this much make-up ever, but she made it look natural and perfect for wedding photos!

Tuxes: Men's Warehouse
We walked in here and found just what we envisioned sitting on a mannequin. Couldn't have been easier.

Jeweler: Green Lake Jewelry Works

This is the extraordinary place that helped us design both our rings together and customize them to our liking. Very classy and awesome people to work with! We absolutely adore our rings!

Entertainment/Lighting/DJ: Tonic Blue Productions

Jacob Boyd was a band teacher and quartet instructor during my high school years. I had the fortune of running into him at a bridal show and finding out he is also a DJ. He was so fun and interactive with the dance floor!

Ceremony Music: Virginia Miner (harpist)

Virginia is a good friend and prior colleague of mine at Arizona State University. She is so amazing at harp, and we just loved the music she gave us! Exquisite!

Linens: Affordable Party and Event Rentals

Linens were beautiful and perfect! Couldn't have asked for anything better!

Photographer: Emily Snitzer
Emily was wonderful to work with! Unlike many other photographers we interviewed with, she was very natural and concerned about capturing candid moments rather than setting everything up. After seeing the talent of her engagement pictures, we decided that we HAD to order more and add on to our original package. Her photos are so gorgeous!

Well, that's all, folks! Stay tuned for when all the wedding photos come in! We will be sure to post them here and update you! Until then we'll be spending our time in the land of...

Happily Ever After!!
